The April-May Regulatory update includes a comprehensive update on the work being done on the CCCFA including proposed timelines for the implementation of stage one and further details about what may be reviewed in stage two. Meanwhile, we are working on a variety of other open consultations including the Statement of Funding Approach for the DCS and the new Contracts of Insurance Bill. The update also includes our recent submissions on the Biometrics Code of Practice and the Commerce Commissions Market Inquiry into Personal Banking Services.

FinCap provide the resources required for those services to help their clients safely and confidentially. These resources include training, operational support, Client Management System hosting, quality assurance/standards setting, advocacy, and communities of practice. FinCap also acts as the voice of the financial capability and budgeting sector.

The March - April Regulatory update includes information on the recently released Commerce Commission Market Inquiry into Personal Banking Services as well as other minor updates. Meanwhile we are still monitoring the review of the Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act and working on a response to the market study as well as the RBNZ’s consultation on the Depositor Compensation Scheme Regulations. All updates are now highlighted in grey in the body of the update.
